“The polished aluminium makes the Haiku into a chameleon, not a foreign object in the space. It fits in beautifully.”

Andrew Peterson
Designer, Edgewater Residence

Project Summary

Not just any ceiling fan would suit the great room at the Edgewater Residence in Prior Lake, Minnesota. The soaring space called for a larger-than-normal fan, with air-circulating capacity to match. Air movement was needed to help minimize condensation on the large windows along one wall. A fan would also make the space more comfortable — those large windows provided abundant light, but also abundant heat.

The highly efficient motor and precisely engineered aerofoils of the Haiku 84 provide silent air circulation, keeping the sitting area cool and comfortable and allowing the homeowners to enjoy the space and the stunning surroundings. The sleek, minimalist design of the fan works with the "Minnesota Modern" aesthetic of the home in more ways than one — the mirror finish of the polished aluminium aerofoils reflects the colours and materials of the space around it, as well as the changing views through the large windows. "The polished aluminium makes the Haiku into a chameleon, not a foreign object in the space," Designer Andrew Peterson says. "It fits in beautifully."
